EGX Gaming Festival 08/10/2021

What it is

The EGX Gaming Festival is a celebration of everything gaming – new releases, games developed by independent studios, board games, retro games and even talks from universities and industry professionals. The festival brings people from all walks of life together over their mutual love of games.

What students did

Students used the opportunity to embrace gaming culture and experience the history of some of their favourite games by playing retro games like Tekken and Sonic the Hedgehog, games that are older than them. They were also able to talk to university representatives about potential courses to enroll in as well as have their portfolios checked. Students were also able to talk to industry professionals and get first hand accounts of what it’s like to work in the industry in both triple A and small independent studios.
