A time for celebration
With Year 11 and Year 13 exams now finished and most coursework now complete it has felt strangely quiet here at Logic this week. On Wednesday we held our celebration assembly for Year 13, a time of mixed emotion all round, both staff and students reminiscing about their shared journey, whilst looking forward to what comes next. On Monday we welcome Year 11 back to share in celebration that this exam season is now over!
Next week is a return to ‘normal’ here at Logic with students receiving feedback from teachers on their exams. I have been really impressed at the way students both in Year 10 and Year 12 have approached these exams and I have already heard from a number of excited staff, eager to share positive results with students.
The final three weeks of this year are just as busy as ever as we continue with assessments for Year 12, see Year 10 on work experience from the week of the 4th July before our residential will see us take more students than ever before to Wales for an action packed adventure. This experience is something that students will look back on fondly in years to come and we find is just so important in building strong relationships with students and allowing them to build confidence within themselves.
I want also to highlight our ‘Meet your Form Tutor’ days for both Year 10 and Year 12 students and their parents. These will take place on Friday 8th July for Year 12 and Friday 15th July for Year 10. Appointment times will be circulated over the coming week. This is a great opportunity to celebrate your child’s success with us this year, whilst looking forward to what comes next.
We are excitedly looking forward to welcoming students to our induction programmes in July. On 4th July we see our new cohort of 47 Year 10 students join us for the first time and on Wednesday we are running our Step-Up to Sixth Form programme. Charlie Young has send separate communication to Year 11 students around this two day event, which gives students a better understanding about what it is like to study the courses we offer Post-16. We currently have over 200 applications for places in our Sixth Form, which we are rightly proud of.
