Careers Fair 2021

With Covid restrictions loosening and many more visitors allowed back on site, last week saw Logic Studio School return to full swing with its Careers Fair – bringing in many universities and companies to talk to our students about their options including employment, university and apprenticeships.

Representatives from  companies like DB Schenker and CEVA Logistics, as well as Universities such as Kingston University and University of Roehampton came in to talk to our students about the experiences they offer. This was intended to help older students better decide what course they want to take post sixth form, while also reminding younger years what options are open to them and to get them thinking about their future.

Students were free to walk around and visit booths of their liking to discuss with members of these companies/universities about the kind of future offered – what apprenticeships there were, how they could progress in that field, even asking why the staff had chosen to work at that particular company. Lots of students came away from this with much clearer goals in mind, with more understanding about life after Sixth Form.

Some walked away from this Career Fair with applications made for apprenticeships at certain businesses, while others were offered part time jobs which will help them gain transferable skills. Even if students didn’t like what companies offered, it still helped them decide what they wouldn’t want to do, as well as gave them and the school better connections with these groups to work together again in the future.

A huge thank you to everyone that came to help our students understand their options.
