Career Ready Summer Virtual Work Experience
Our Summer Career Ready Virtual Work Experience placements were set up in response to the Covid
pandemic and how employers adapted to it.
They were designed to give our students on the Accounting and Finance Professional Employer
Engagement pathway an authentic insight into what it’s like to ‘work from home’ and to gain first-
hand experience of the world of work:
Our students were provided with a set job description and a host who supported them during the
placement. They carried out real work which added value to their host employer, especially in
‘hackathon’ style placements. Students were also invited to real meetings, where appropriate.
The Virtual Work Experience opportunities offered by employers also included 1-5 day experiences
incorporating industry insight, skills sessions, and group or individual projects.
Our students enjoyed two to four week paid summer placements at some of the leading companies
in the world, namely Morgan-Stanley, Citi Bank, Standard Life Aberdeen, BP, QuantumBlack and
Baker McKenzie. All students gave an excellent account of themselves and were great ambassadors
of Logic Studio School.
