The exam factory

With an election on the horizon it has been great to see students choosing to become more informed at this time. Whether they are old enough to vote this time around, or looking to exercise their views as active citizens, it has been great to hear the issues that are important to them.

Key to all of this is wanting to have financial security in the future that will allow them to lead the lives they deserve. This is why Employer Engagement remains such a vital part of what we do here day in, day out. Just before half term, our Year 12 students took part in a day run by Quilter Cheviot Wealth Management. Not only was it enlightening to hear about opportunities in the sector, they spoke of the importance of understanding money. Sessions included bank accounts, debit and credit cards, insurance, mortgages, pensions and investments. There was even a session on appetite for risk.

As the baton is passed from Year 11 & Year 13 to Year 10 & Year 12 we are busy simultaneously saying goodbye and preparing for more assessment. Most external exams come to an end next week and we are looking forward to the Year 11 Prom. In school, Year 10 & 12 are now preparing for End of Year assessments (more details below).
