Christmas is here (almost)
I am delighted with the way in which both Year 11 and Year 13 have shown an incredible focus through their assessment of recent. Not only in preparation, but also now in terms of acting upon feedback. Students have approached these high stakes tests in a calm manner and as a result have been able to demonstrate what they have learnt to this point. Grades from these assessments will go towards the school reports that Year 11 and 13 will receive in January. Please see details below regarding parents evenings supporting this in January.
Many of our Year 13 students have been making their applications through UCAS to university. A massive thank you to the staff that have supported students to prepare for this. Admissions interviews are starting to take place and offers are starting to be returned. This becomes a real point of focus for our students as they head towards their next destination.
Next week we look forward to our usual Christmas build up. We have our second Personal Development week with a range of enriching activities planned. Christmas Jumper day will take place on Tuesday 17th with a full Christmas dinner being served in the canteen. This is always an enjoyable day with lots of festive cheer! Please note that there are differing finishing times next week, these are outlined below.
This will likely be our final communication of the year (save a few photos perhaps for the last day of term). Please have a restful break however you choose to spend it. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday January 7th.
