Ofsted and beyond

We have been rolling with the big weeks here at Logic, with Ofsted last week, Open Evening this week and assessment week for Year 11 and 13 from Monday.

Firstly to Ofsted and a massive thank you to all in our community for supporting us with this. This was a monitoring inspection, meaning that the school would not be regraded at this time. Unfortunately, as it is with inspection, I am unable to share with you the exact details until such time as the report is published. I have been informed that this is no later than 30 working days from the point of inspection (most likely the middle of January). I can say that perhaps contrary to the national press, it was genuinely a really positive experience. Of particular note for me was being told that our staff, student and parent surveys were all ‘better than we normally see’. The students, as ever, were impeccable. I look forward to sharing more with you in the new year.

Open evening last night was a busy affair, again a massive thank you to all our students that were able to stay on and support us in making this event such a success. We saw an increase in footfall and there was a really positive buzz around the building. We also welcomed back a number of our Alumni dating back to 2017. As a token of our appreciation, our alumni were gifted Logic branded keyrings and had the opportunity to add their pins to our destinations board. We look forward to growing this group in the future.

Next week is assessment week for Year 11 and 13. Students have been preparing for this for the past 4 weeks and data from this will be used to inform our Subject Teacher evening in January. Thank you for all you are doing at home to support your child through these assessments.
